Rebecca and Joe’s wedding at Tappan Hill Mansion was the kind of day that pulls you in from the very first moment. Perched above the Hudson River in Tarrytown, New York, it was a celebration rooted in Jewish tradition, surrounded by family, and filled with the kind of joy that’s impossible to contain.
Tears at the first look. Chairs in the air during the horah. Love that’s been building for years — finally celebrated out loud. Being there to photograph it was a privilege.
Rebecca got ready with her mom, with hair and makeup by the talented Elyssa Micheals. Her Justin Alexander gown was elegant and timeless — the kind that catches light beautifully in every frame.
There was laughter, last-minute touches, and that one quiet moment before it all begins — when everything becomes real.
The first look took place outdoors overlooking the Hudson River. The view was breathtaking. But what mattered most was the moment Joe turned around.
He teared up. Rebecca reached up and gently wiped the tear from his face. Quiet, unscripted, completely theirs. One of the best moments of the entire day.
The outdoor ceremony was held under open sky and brilliant sunshine, officiated by Rabbi Steven Exler. Deeply traditional, layered with meaning — every ritual observed with care.
Rebecca circled Joe at the start. Parents spoke with pride and love. And when Joe stomped the glass and the crowd erupted in “Mazel Tov” — the whole hillside felt it.
With the Hudson River stretching behind them, portraits had an effortless quality. Golden light, expansive views, and two people completely at ease with each other.
The connection between Rebecca and Joe showed up in every single frame.
Guests were greeted by the sounds of City Heat from Craig Scott Entertainment — and something completely unexpected: pinball machines from Stamford Amusements set right outside the cocktail space. Guests of all ages gravitated toward them all evening.
The florals by Damselfly Designs brought the space to life — lush greenery with warm pops of orange and pink throughout.
The ballroom was electric. Prestige Caterers kept everyone happy, and City Heat kept the dance floor packed all night.
Then came the horah. Rebecca and Joe lifted high, chairs steady, music swirling — chaotic and joyful in the best possible way. The kind of moment every guest will still be talking about years from now.
By the end of the night, the energy hadn’t disappeared — it had just softened into something warmer. The feeling that comes when a day goes exactly as it should.
These images are the beginning of an heirloom. Photographs to look back on at anniversaries, to share with children someday. That’s what this work is really about.
